Black Canyon Coffee House (International Thai Cuisine)- Centre Point Bandar Utama

Update: A new dish I ate from Black Canyon

Spicy Glass Noodles Salad - RM8.90
(The salad full with Jew's-ear, Peanuts, Prawn, Chicken meats and Glass Noodles. The sauce for this salad is really sour and spicy. It's a delicious Thai Style Salad.)
____________________________________________________________________

Lived in Bandar Utama for almost 4 years. Passed by Centre Point everyday.
Worked at One Tech Park for 6 months. Eat there almost everyday too.
The restaurant seems like transparent for me.
I never find out that the foods here are nice and the price is actually very reasonable.

After 4 years and highly recommended from my friend, I went this coffee house few weeks ago...

I heard that this coffee house is very famous in Thailand and had a lot of branches. So, I do some research for it too. This is the info I found:

Black Canyon (Thailand) Co. Ltd. was established in 1993 to operate restaurants serving food, coffee and drinks under the "Black Canyon Coffee" name. The company is the registered owner of the "Black Canyon" trademark and all associated service marks.
Black Canyon is the largest and most well known operator of franchised coffee houses in Thailand. The management and every employee has as their goal to continually develop and improve the Black Canyon Coffee brand.
This coffee house really quite famous in Thailand and now opened 11 branches in Malaysia since 2002 (Ipoh, Kuantan, Klang Valley, Johor Bahru, Putrajaya and Seberang Prai).
You can search the nearest location through this link:

The branch I tried is in Center Point Bandar Utama.
The coffee house design is quite comfortable. Using a soft light, wooden chair and dining table.
Besides, it has one big coffee bar for the baristas to make the perfect drinks to customers.
Then, we can actually see how the chef prepare the foods through the glass. For customers who like to learn some cooking skills can sit at the seat beside the glass. (of course, I am not so sure that really can learn or not~ =p)
Anyway, the coffee house design is fine to me.
Of course, it is clean and they have nice music too. =) Well, the music is really important to me.
The services from the waiters and waitress is good, they are helpful and friendly.

Let me show you some photo 1st:

I don't know whether this design meet your satisfaction or not.
Anyway, I like the food there too.

It's famous with their coffee actually. But, as I wrote in my Coffee - Typica Cafe, I can't drink coffee.... =(
So, I didn't manage try the coffee there. Anyway, I heard that they have beautiful coffee art too... may be you can try yourself there and take some photos to let me see too??? =)

Come on!! Let us start the journey of my food adventure:

I went there 3 times since 9 April. I ordered this every time I enter to this coffee house...

Spicy Chicken Tom Yum Soup - RM9.90
( I am actually addicted with this tom yum soup. It's really nice!! The sour and spicy soup makes me have a good appetite to eat whole cow....haha...just kidding!! =p Besides, the chef deserves a compliment as he knows to use chicken's leg meat- drumstick/tight meat for the tom yum soup. It's important for the chef to choose correct part of chicken meat when cook a soup...my opinion la~)

Grilled Black Pepper Salmon Salad RM12.90
(Of course, this salad is definitely not ordered by me... haha....I am not a cow who like to eat grass...=p Despite all that, I tried it too... and I recommend you to try if you like salmon and salad. The vegetables are really fresh and the salmon is not fishy at all..)

Fish Steak - RM15.90
(I ordered this in the 1st time i visited. I was so happy when I eat the fish!!! Because, it's not DORY FISH!!!! Forgot to mention, I don't like dory fish, it's smelly and tasted bad. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask them the fish type. But, what I can assure is the fish is nice, fresh and not fishy at all too!)

Pad - Thai (Thai Style Stir-fried Rice Noodles with Prawn)
(This one really inspiring me to come again... I ordered this in my 2nd visit. It's actually is a kind of Penang Char Kuey Tiaw. But, they stir-fried the rice noodles with peanuts and some other thai sauce or herbs...it makes the noodles' taste so different. I don't like to eat peanuts actually. But, this noodle is good to eat with the peanuts. It's so fragrance! It's difficult to describe using words. You must try your own..=p)

Stir-Fried Noodles with Chicken Steak in Gravy - RM15.90
(They have a good chef who pro in stir-fried. The noodles tasted good. Usually the chicken meat will be harsh to eat if cook like this, right? But, it tastes good at here and very smooth. Besides, the chicken steak is quite fresh too. I didn't smell the freezer's odor also...)

Rice topped with Roasted Chicken in Garlic and Pepper with Mixed Vegetables in Gravy - RM8.90
(My friend ordered this. The name is very long. But, it called Roasted Chicken Rice actually in Thai. My friend learns Thai, that's what he told us. As I told you before, the chef good in stir-fried. The stir-fried veges are nice. The Roasted Chicken is also quite good with good smell too.)

Stir-fried Rice Noodles with Minced Chicken in Thick Gravy - RM8.90
(The chef stir-fried this with tomato sauce which I like. It makes me miss my hometown. The tomato sauce stir-fried rice noodles is very popular in my hometown, Sarawak. huh...it's actually "Wat Dan Ho" with tomato sauce...may be now you can imagine how is the taste....you will like it if you like tomato sauce..)

Combination of Stir-fried Prawn, Chicken and Chili with Rice - RM8.90
(My friend ordered this and I forgot the dish name also. But, what I can remember is he ordered this in the Set Menu. It comes together with a drinks and a tom yum soup. (RM12.90 - set, RM8.90 A la Carte) I forgot to taste it. Sorry, a failed blogger....=( Anyway, according to my friend, it's nice too. How nice is that?? I can't describe as I didn't try...find out yourself, please....SORRY~~~)

(These are the menu for foods and coffee. Next time, I will ask my friend order the coffee and I taste a little bit...so that, I can tell you how good is the coffee and how beautiful is for their coffee art~~)
