Restaurant Siam 62 - Sunway Damansara

Nowaday mydeal, groupon, milkadeal etc are very famous and this is our opportunities to eat some nice food with cheaper deal.I used to check the deal almost everyday, just eager to get a cheaper deal to eat! haha....yeah, all I can think about in my mind is always food and eat. haha...

Somehow, I saved a lot of money for nice food or buffet. hehe... This time, I went to a Thai restaurant to eat buffet lunch. The restaurant name is Siam 62, located at Sunway Damansara (opposite the SHELL Petrol Station). I can't recall the price I bought, what I can remember is that's cheaper than the usual price. =p

I never know this Thai cuisine until I bought the coupon from internet. It's a win-win situation, the restaurant can promote their restaurant and consumer can get a cheaper deal to eat. =)

Photos below are the food we ate the other day. You can order all from the menu. Try all food, then after that choose the food you think is nice to re-order. =)

The Thai food here really not bad and it's worth the money! Try it if you like Thai cuisine!

Poon Choi - Restaurant LYJ Sungai buloh

2011 birthday gone already~~ =( which means I am getting old.
Anyway, treated nice food from my friends~ The food that I crave for 2 years.

盆菜 - POON CHOI  (Believe me, this is the translation I got from Google Translate.)

This is the 1st time I eat Poon Choi. So excited! hahaha..
I had been told many times that Sungai Buloh Poon Choi is the best!
Thanks to Jennifer (my friend), she found out the restaurant and called all friends to celebrate my birthday together. (Touched!)

Let me google the Poon Choi history for you 1st! =p
Poon Choi (pronounced: [pʰun˩ʦʰɔy]), also known as pun choi or Big Bowl Feast, is a traditional type of dish originating from Hong Kong village cuisine. It may also be found in different parts of Hong Kong. It is served in wooden, porcelain or metal basins.

It was said that Poon Choi was invented during the late Song Dynasty. When Mongol troops invaded Song China, the young Emperor fled to the area around Guangdong Province and Hong Kong. To serve the Emperor as well as his army, the locals collected all their best food available, cooked it, and because there were not enough containers, put the resulting dishes in wooden washbasins. In this way, Poon Choi was invented.[1] Ip, Stephen, The Standard, Friday, April 23, 2010, Volume 3, No. 153, p. 33.
haha....I know, I know....the photo is more important than this. Let's go!

 The sauce they served.

Chilling Waterfall Trip - Kuala Kubu Bharu

It's been a while for not update a blog about the trip I went. This is a trip I never expect to go for in this month. Thanks the invitation of one my best friend! =)

I know this waterfall since 2 years ago. Anyway, because of many reason, I can't go until yesterday.I like the waterfall name, Chilling Waterfall. The water there is really cold and chill. I can feel my heart get cold when I stepped into the water. haha.... just an exaggeration! =p

Okay, start my journey to Chilling Waterfall. We headed to Batu Cave from Bandar Utama at 7am.We use MRR2 to go Kuala Kubu Bharu. Passed by Kepong Tol (RM1.60), follow the right lane to go up to MRR2. Drive about 20mins, take the exit toward Jalan Batu Caves. Sharp left onto Jalan Batu Caves. Then, turn right onto Jalan Sungai Tua. Drive for around 5km, make a U-turn and take the 1st left to stay on Jalan Sungai Tua. Turn left onto B57. Drive for another 5km, Turn right onto Route 1, drive for another 12km. At last, turn right onto Route 55. Arrived the destination!!

I go and google search the maps. I think, it's better to use NKVE to go. Easier and faster! Using Damansara Tol, then follow the Ipoh signboard. Go straight then take the exit at Rawang, pass by Rawang Tol, turn right at the 1st traffic light. Go straight again, take the ramp onto Route 1, pass by KTM Station Rawang on your left. Turn right to stay on Route 1. Go straight until T-Junction, turn left to stay on Route 1 again. Drive for 30km (pass by Serendah town), turn right onto Route 55 (drive 15km, pass by a dam), then, you will arrive there!

I know, it's a bit complicated! It's better you find the map from google or you got a GPS device. =)

For the waterfalls description and also the GPS coordination, you may read this.

What I can tell you about this waterfall is the water here is really cold and also very clean! And, for me, the most important thing is the hiking part is a piece of cake! Not high and not that challenge also. The challenge part is you need to cross 3 rivers which the water flows quickly. It makes you difficult to cross the river to the other side. Anyway, that's not hard for me actually. I manage to cross the river with my good balance skill and the technique to step on the rocks. wahahaha.... too proud of myself. *slap* BE HUMBLE!!!

Show you some photo I took over there:

Before we arrive Chilling Waterfall, we have a quick visit at the dam.
I'm so sorry, this is the only one which you can see the dam. If you want to see the dam clearly, click here.

We crossed a bridge (Sungai Chilling) after pass by the Selangor River dam. Then, we started to find a place to park our car. Voila! Here we are!

From the main road to here, you need to walk for around 10-15mins.

Personally like the sunlight! =)

On our way to Chilling waterfall. At first, you need to pass by this kind of road. So, I suggest you that wear your slipper to come (those with strong grip/pattern)

On the way to Chilling waterfall, you need to cross 3 rivers just like this. The water move fast and swift.

 After 45mins walk, we arrived!!!

People started playing water and also climb the rocks near waterfall to jump down. It's fun, just quite dangerous la...

A lot of fishes here. Not afraid of people also.

Took this when come down from waterfall.

A WET Thai Food Cafe - Taman Cheras

The nightview of the restaurant!

Tempted to eat Thai Food after tried Black Canyon and also recommended by so many friends after they went to Thailand for vacation. =)
Looking forward to my trip also. Will go Thailand soon for vacation too.... woohoo~~~

Recommended by friend for this Thai Food Restaurant. It located at Taman Cheras which is around 20km far from my house. Ehm....not that far actually, but still need around 30mins to 40mins to reach there. See, nice food is always the motivation for us to travel far....haha....
So, next time, if you want me to visit you, just use food to seduce me~~~ It may works!!! =p

A lot of people come here to eat Grilled Crab. We didn't try. I spying at the kitchen entrance and have a conclusion that grilled crab should be nice and we must try in next visit! =)

Tom Yam Chicken Soup (RM7)
Look at the golden colour soup, you definitely can imaging the taste of this soup. I assume your saliva is secreting now. Imagine the sourness and spiciness of the soup~ hoo.... It's so tempting!

haha....You definitely tried this Thai Fried Rice (RM8) before if you live in Section 17 or SS2, PJ. The Thai Fried Rice at Section 17 Sentosa is delicious, according to my friends....I got a lot of friends like to eat the Thai Fried Rice. Anyway, the main point is this Thai Fried Rice had different taste with the one in Section 17 Sentosa. ehm....the pattern and the taste of the fried rice itself is different, not compare yet the eggs and the stewed pork. Besides, this Thai Fried Rice served together with mango too. Conclusion: both also nice to eat! =p

Pineapple Fried Rice (RM9) The heat of the fried rice is enough. So, you can smell the fragrance of the pineapple from far. =) Quite okay to try!

The only vegetable we ordered. Thai Fried Kai Lan (RM12). Nothing complain for the chef's stir-fried technique.

Thai Style Seafood with 3 kind of sauce (RM22)
ehm...iaccording to my friends, it's nice to try and because of the deep fried of the seafood. The skin is very crispy, very delicious! For me, it's nice, just I miss more the one I ate at Serdang, Kedah with the fried porridge! =)

MY FAVORITE DISH!!!! H. SpecialtyBBQ Pork Neck Meat (RM22, min 300gm)
I still can feel the meat melted in my mouth now. The meat is so tender and fragrance! I never eat the pork like this before and I never know got this delicious pork to eat before!!! I can eat 5 plate of this portion!!! =) The spiciness of the pork neck meat is really make me feel happy!!

Finished the main course! It's time to eat some dessert. This is Water Chestnut (RM5.90). ehm...the fragrance of water chestnut with coconut milk always my favorite too! =)
Brighten my day!

This is Cendol (RM5.90). It's nice with the topping, creamy corn and cincau. =)

Restaurant Asian Food House - Damansara Uptown

Went to this place with my colleagues last month. I went there few years back actually if not mistaken... Have to admit that I am getting old, can't remember so much thing. =(

This "Restaurant Asian Food House" serve mainly in Taiwanese Food although they serve Korean and Japanese Food as well.
Honestly to say, the foods here are really worth to recommend to you and your friends. =)

At least, the beef noodle and the pork ribs noodle satisfied my sense of eating yummy food. =p

ehm...people who know me well sure know that I seldom order drinks except those drinks without sugar. Of course there are exceptional if I am craving to have one of it! haha.... Anyway, the main point here is I heard from my friends that the bubble tea here also not bad. (I am sure, didn't try.)

Show you the mouth watering food:

I ordered this for my dinner. This is Pork Ribs Noodle (RM13). You can smell the strong fragrance from far. The soup is tasty. I think it's herbal soup. The pork ribs is very nice to eat as the meat is tender and absorbed the essence of the soup.

Traditional Beef Noodle (RM8.80) No doubt! The beef noodle here also very nice to eat. The soup is delicious and nice to smell. The beef and the radish are absorbed the essence of the soup too. The beef is nicely cook, so, you are safe to eat if you scare for the smell of the beef. =)

This is Lemon grass Chicken Chop Rice. (RM 9.80) The Fried chicken meat is tender and crispy. The side dishes - braised Tofu and pickles is a refreshment. You won't feel greasy when eating too much of fried chicken and rice if you eat together with the side dishes. =p

The last dish and the only side dish we ordered. - Traditional Taiwanese Fried Chicken Nuggets (RM6.80). The chef is good in marinate the chicken. The meat is tender and tasty. I don't know what is the ingredient to marinate the chicken. But, i think the chef put some herbs also.. By the way, the meat is very crispy too.....
